For Jaxx TMS, music is a way of tracing connections and understanding how sound moves through time and place.

Her approach to DJing is rooted in selection and curiosity, drawing from the lineage of House and its connections to Chicago, Detroit and New York, while staying attuned to its contemporary forms. Her sets are less defined by genre than by the way one sound leads into another and a sense of movement develops over time.

Radio and research allow her to explore music beyond the dancefloor. Through her monthly show on Refuge Worldwide and Inner City Expressions, she creates space to listen more closely and bring different perspectives into conversation.

Across her work runs a continuing interest in where music comes from, how it travels and what it can connect.
